What is a Reiki session?
Reiki is a complementary wellness practice in which a practitioner places their hands lightly on or just above a person, or offers the practice remotely. People may seek it for relaxation, comfort, or personal reflection, but it has not been clearly shown effective for a health-related purpose and should not replace medical care.
What happens during Reiki
A Reiki session is generally quiet and noninvasive. The client may sit or lie down while the practitioner uses a sequence of hand positions lightly on or above the body. In a remote session, the client and practitioner are not in the same physical space.
Julie offers a 45-minute Reiki service for $60, including a remote option available within 24 hours.
Why people seek Reiki
People commonly describe seeking Reiki for relaxation, rest, spiritual support, or comfort while coping with stress or physical tension. Those are reasons for choosing the experience, not guaranteed outcomes.
What the evidence says
The National Center for Complementary and Integrative Health says Reiki has not been clearly shown effective for any health-related purpose. Studies involving pain, anxiety, and depression have generally been low quality or inconsistent.
Julie Energy presents Reiki as complementary wellness and spiritual support—not as a diagnosis, treatment, cure, or replacement for licensed care.
When to contact a clinician
Pain, sleep disruption, anxiety, depression, or other persistent symptoms deserve appropriate evaluation. Do not delay urgent or necessary medical or mental-health care in order to receive Reiki.
